Angels come in all shapes and sizes.
You never know when or where you'll find one. When you need them most, they'll be there for you.
The Imerman Angels is a not for profit organization that provides one on one cancer support. The concept was created when 26 year old Jonny Imerman was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Even though he was lucky enough to have the support of his family and friends during that time, he felt as though he needed something more. A connection to someone who had beaten this cancer, that he could share his feelings with and get support from. And so, in 2003, Imerman Angels was born.
Through a unique matching process, Imerman Angels matches anyone who is seeking cancer support with a "Mentor Angel". This Mentor Angel could be someone who is around the same age or the same gender but most importantly, they have fought and beaten the same type of cancer. They are the walking and living proof that this battle with cancer can be won. Through these relationships, hope blossoms and a unique support is created.
The best part about the service is that it is absolutely free and anyone in the world can get support.
Wherever you are, you are not alone. Support FLEX. Be an Angel.
