You're now legally blind, and you're told there's no treatment and no cure for the rare genetic disorder that has taken your sight. Making things worse - all of your brothers and sisters carry the same genetic mutation and are at great risk of having the same thing happen to them. That's the story of LHON - Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy. Each year about 100 people in the U.S. live this nightmare. Poince Inc was created to change the course of LHON...to fund research so that a treatment and/or a cure is found...so that everyone carrying the LHON mutation can stop living in fear that the genetic time bomb inside them will not 'explode' one day, suddenly rendering them permanently blind.
